Nate Samson x Hudson Hawk

Hudson hawk Barber & shop is one of the fastest growing barbershops in the Midwest.

In 2016, I was asked to meet with the co-owners to discuss my possible involvement in helping move their brand forward through creative direction and implementation. When they began in 2013, it started with one shop in the downtown metro area of Springfield, Missouri - a mid-sized city in the middle of the midwest. Within 3 years they had expanded to 4 shops, with another in the works. 3 years later they were in two metropolitan centers in the midwest and growing still - having just announced another 4 stores to open by early 2018, with one in yet another new city center market. As I came on to assist the brand, they had a great team and a solid foundation with a large vision, but there was a need for telling the story of the company and determining a cohesive and fluid brand.

One of the recent strategies is telling the story of the brand through the stories of the clients they service, and enters a slew of editorials shot to capture the myriad of different clients from all ages, industries and backgrounds. This particular editorial features Nate Samson, a Nebraska-native, now residing in Springfield who is a professional writer, and will focus on the practicality of Hudson Hawk's haircuts - made for the everyday man with wind-blown hair, scuffed sneakers and a rugged midwestern lifestyle - relative as it may be.
